Terms and Conditions

 

By accessing our website, registering for programs, participating in activities, or using our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

 

1. Acceptance of Terms

 

By using this website or participating in any HWLM Youth Ranch activity, lesson, camp, mentorship program, volunteer event, trail ride, clinic, or equine-related service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

 

2. Assumption of Risk

 

Horse-related activities involve inherent risks that may result in injury, property damage, or death. Participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with equine activities, ranch activities, and outdoor recreational activities.

 

Participation may include, but is not limited to:

 

  • Riding horses

  • Handling horses

  • Grooming and tacking

  • Groundwork and training exercises

  • Ranch chores and volunteer activities

  • Camps, clinics, and educational programs

  • Feeding and watering and cleaning paddocks

  • Walking through areas where equines reside

 

All participants and their guests are required to sign a separate liability waiver before participation.

 

3. Youth Participants

 

Participants under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian complete all required registration forms, waivers, and permissions prior to participation.

 

Parents and guardians remain responsible for the conduct and supervision of their children before and after scheduled program times.

 

4. Program Rules

 

For the safety of all participants, horses, and staff:

 

  • Instructions from owners, staff and volunteers must be followed at all times.

  • Unsafe behavior may result in immediate removal from activities.

  • Appropriate attire and footwear is required while on the property.

  • Protective riding helmets are strongly recommended and may be required for certain activities.

  • Participants must treat horses, people, and property with respect.

 

5. Payments and Refunds

 

Program fees, lesson fees, camp fees, and other charges are due as specified during registration.

 

Refunds may be granted at the discretion of HWLM Youth Ranch. No refunds will be issued for missed lessons, events, or activities unless otherwise stated.

 

In the event of severe weather, emergencies, or circumstances beyond our control, activities may be rescheduled when possible.

 

6. Volunteer Participation

 

Volunteers participate at their own risk and agree to follow all ranch safety guidelines. Volunteer opportunities do not create an employment relationship with HWLM Youth Ranch.

 

7. Photography and Media

 

Participation in ranch activities may include photography, video recording, or other media documentation.

 

Unless a written opt-out request is submitted, participants grant permission for HWLM Youth Ranch to use photographs and videos for educational, promotional, fundraising, and social media purposes without compensation.

 

8. Website Use

 

Website content is provided for informational purposes only.

 

Users agree not to:

 

  • Misuse the website

  • Attempt unauthorized access to website systems

  • Copy or distribute content without permission

  • Use the website for unlawful purposes

 

9. Intellectual Property

 

All logos, program names, graphics, photographs, educational materials, and website content are the property of HWLM Youth Ranch unless otherwise noted and may not be reproduced without written permission.

 

10. Limitation of Liability

 

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HWLM Youth Ranch, its owners, officers, staff, volunteers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, claim, or expense arising from participation in ranch activities or use of this website.

 

11. Changes to Terms

 

HWLM Youth Ranch reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes become effective upon posting to the website.
